After its early incarnation in the late nineteenth century as an engine-powered bicycle, the modern motorcycle emerged from the tinkerer’s shed to become a practical and exciting mode of transport for men and women alike, as well as a cheap military asset during World War One. MOTORCYCLE: SPEED AND REBELLION

Summer 2009: the Trier, Germany, European Art Museum (Europäische Kunstakademie Trier) is hosting an exhibit entitled Motorcycle: Rebellion and Acceleration, inspired by our book, Motorcycle. The exhibit is comprised of artistic contributions from local artist Klas Steinmann, designer Maria Steinmann and others. In addition to the exhibit, there are lectures, films, and music.
